TVU renews the One backpack to improve its 5G connectivity and reduce its dimensions
In IBC 2023 (September 15-18) will be able to see for the first time the new One, a transmission backpack of TVU which begins a stage with better 5G connectivity and greater portability.
Weighing just 1.79 kg and standing just 200 mm tall, TVU's One is the portable 5G transmitter most "compact and complete on the market". The solution incorporates the latest 5G NR modem technology and the "most advanced antenna design available" in a portable backpack cellular transmitter. Using the latest generation of built-in modems 5G Sub 6GHz, 3GPP Release 16, ONE supports NSA and the latest networks SAIncluding Network Slicing and connectivity IPv6. Similarly, its antenna array, with multiple antennas per modem, includes the ability to support uplink MIME with supported carriers, and is compatible with Starlink. According to TVU, all this means that users are "assured" of a transmission with greater coverage, better range, higher data transfer speeds and the guarantee of future compatibility thanks to this new phase of deployment of the 5G network".
The One backpack will also feature the latest version of transmission technology Inverse StatMux, patented by TVU. The newly developed ISX protocol promises to work in even the most challenging transmission environments, such as large congestions or choppy signal areas. The new algorithm's real-time monitoring of cellular traffic and accurate projection of data connection performance seek to enable the available bandwidth to be used to its full potential, resulting in superior video quality and uninterrupted streaming. As an added benefit, ISX enables latency as low as 0.3 seconds using cellular connectivity.
TVU's new One also stands out for offering up to 4K/60P HDR, as well as admitting inputs 3G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 (including SD, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p up to 60fps), and 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 8-bit or 10-bit to offer higher image quality. In addition, beyond its relay functions, the solution can be transformed into a Multi-camera live production with up to four wireless sources "in a matter of minutes".
Additional key features of One include its talkback and its integration with TVU Partyline with Mix-Minus Audio; your ability to add up to 12 connections simultaneously thanks to its up to six built-in modems, Starlink, Ethernet, WiFi, satellite, external USB modems, MiFi devices, direct tethering of mobile devices and tablets compatible with 5G mmWave; his Dual Coding, which allows the live stream to be processed in HEVC or H.264 using Variable Rate Encoding and a second copy encoded on an integrated SD memory card; his Progressive Discharge Transfer "ultra-fast", or its IP streaming output, which allows direct control of streaming outputs from a TVU transceiver, even providing direct streaming to platforms such as YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch and others.
