Adapta Book Madrid will once again unite the publishing, film and theater sectors

This second edition of Adapta Book Madrid seeks to promote the city as a reference in the development of adaptations that contribute to audiovisual production. Likewise, it generates a synergy space for the evaluation of business opportunities between professional agents linked to the creation literary, dramaturgical, audiovisual and cinematographic. For yet another year, the organization of the event has promoted a wide selection of conferences, screenings, case study exhibitions, laboratories and a day Pitch the book in order to consolidate as escape for emerging talents seeking to approach new formats and styles with diverse, novel and inclusive themes.

Some of the pillars of this new edition of Adapta Book Madrid 2023 are the day Pitch the book, an exclusive presentation in format pitch of 10 literary works before producers and other agents in the sector; Adapt Scene, a new section to promote the screening of playwrights that will feature the presentation of 6 dramaturgical works; a conference about the challenges of adapting plays to film called “Theater and cinema, a constant dialogue”; he Workshop Adapta, aimed at screenwriters and playwrights to help them transform their work into audiovisual format, and Adapta Lab Guy, a workshop aimed at the process of adapting theatrical works to audiovisual format.
