Matrox Video Launches Maevex 7100 4K Single-Channel Encoders

The Maevex family of encoders from Matrox Video, designed for low-latency, high-quality, low-bitrate encoding, grows with the Maevex 7100, a single-channel 4K60 AVC/HEVC solution.

series encoders Maevex 7100 provide High quality streaming and recording, for both motion video and desktop content with a wide range of compression rates, in low bandwidth applications that require high compression levels. These new professional encoders, although they adapt to all types of environments, have been specially designed for use in control rooms, command centers and other mission-critical environments.

The new Maevex 7100 from Matrox arrive in two versions: the model H.264 (Maevex 7112A) and the H.264/H.265 (Maevex 7112H). Regardless of their H.265 support, both solutions offer simultaneous streaming and recording with support for five streaming protocols: RTSP, MPEG2-TS, RTP, SRT y RTMP. Likewise, they are compatible with the Maevex application PowerStream Plus and the new Maevex Command Center.

Maevex 7100 series encoders are devices without fan, small in size and low in energy consumption, ready for high-density rack mounting or floor installation. They offer entry passage of zero latency for real-time video output, allowing for flexible, simultaneous and uninterrupted operation for operator tables, video walls or remote rooms. The system arrives accompanied by its corresponding SDK and API, which will allow users to add this system to different mission-critical environments or to third-party audiovisual systems.

Security in the new Maevex 7100 from Matrox Video

Matrox Video has decided to ensure the compatibility of Maevex 7100 encoders with critical environments by integrating enterprise-grade security. Regardless of its compatibility with Microsoft Active Directory, users can manage devices securely with support for network authentication 802.1x and executing IP control communication over the protocol Https. Likewise, the Maevex 7100 family supports the protocol Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) with AES encryption, thus enabling secure, low-latency, high-performance transmission over noisy or unpredictable networks.
