Buendía Estudios - Morena Films - Let love die - Carlota Pereda

Carlota Pereda, who made her feature-length debut with 'Cerdita' and explored the supernatural with 'La ermita', jumps into the world of series with 'Que muera el amor', a production by Buendía Studios y Morena Films.

Let love die It is presented as a drama series about an abandoned vampire who tries to overcome the separation from her girlfriend (by chance, also a vampire) over several centuries. In the words of the creator, screenwriter and director herself: "Vampires are my favorite monsters, because of their wild instincts, forbidden desire and romanticism. Some characteristics that clash with a modern world in which love and desire are no longer considered mysterious forces capable of destroying us, but rather something that can be explained and accounted for, the means to an end."

Created and developed by Morena Films and Buendía Estudios based on an original idea by Carlota Pereda, screenwriter and director of the project, Let love die has been one of the ten international titles chosen to participate in the Berlinale Co-production Market, which will take place on January 20 and 21. “We are excited that the Berlin Festival has embraced a commitment that is as visceral as it is romantic,” said Pereda of this initiative whose objective is to present a selection of “exceptional projects” to “interested partners” to encourage their co-production and financing.
