RTVE - Mercedes Martel - Media Relations Director

Until now, internal corporate communications coordinator at Prado del Rey, Mercedes Martel will move to the position of director of media relations. RTVE replacing Carlos Garrido after his retirement.

Licenciada en Ciencias de la Información (rama de Periodismo) en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, donde ha realizado másteres en y televisión y radio, Mercedes Martel empezó a trabajar en RTVE en 1997 como presentadora del Canal 24 Horas. Desde entonces, ha desarrollado su trayectoria profesional en diferentes puestos de los telediarios y programas informativos: como el equipo del telediario internacional de RTVE desde 1999-2003 o el área de Internacional del Telediario. Además, ha formado parte del equipo de los programas informativos Parliament y Europa como presentadora y redactora.

The new director of media relations at RTVE began her professional career at Diario de Cádiz' and worked at the European television network Euronews, in Lyon, France. During these years, Martel has trained in everything related to the world of television and news, with multiple specialized courses on RTVE, news editing on television and on the web, audiovisual narration or social networks.
