Brompton LED processing key to G-Works' new VP Site V studio
The Japanese producer G-Works inaugurates Site V, a studio with cutting-edge technologies in virtual production in which Brompton plays a fundamental role through its LED processing solutions.
Working closely with Ark Ventures, one of the main systems integration and installation companies, G-Works has opted for virtual production, given that this approach to content creation “is becoming the essential technology in the global creative industry.” In the words of its CEO, Kenji Yoshikawa: "Thanks to Site V, we can fully use virtual production (VP) technology, as well as provide additional value and creative proposals adapted to each market. We also hope to preserve cultural heritage, such as traditional crafts, and offer a place for the emotional education of future generations."
Brompton Technology has provided its LED processing technology to control the LED screens in SITE V's Studio 1, which at 376 m² allows for the filming of cars, small boats, large trucks, cranes and even large construction machinery. The system includes four Tessera SX40 4K LED processors and six Tessera XD 10G data distribution units responsible for managing all LED displays ROE Visual RB2.6F, including the 10.5 m by 6 m (4,032 x 2,304 pixels) main screen, as well as those on the sides and roof.
Other key solutions for this study are two multimedia servers Disguise VX4+ for low latency media playback and three rxII render servers, Unreal Engine in-camera VFX and tracking systems Mon-Sys Star Tracker Max.
