EVS has acquired MOG Technologies, based in Portugal, in a strategic move that enhances the Belgian company's portfolio with state-of-the-art file-based and software-defined video solutions.

In this way, EVS expands its live production ecosystem by expanding its File-based ingest and transcoding.

MOG Technologies' renowned expertise in cloud technology will reinforce EVS's balanced computing strategy, especially enhancing its cloud solutions. Content management and distribution, MediaCeption and MediaHubrespectively. The reinforcement of EVS's cloud-based services aligns perfectly with changing market expectations, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of technological advancements in live and near-live production.

In addition, with a team of about 50 professionals based in Porto, the acquisition guarantees EVS access to a highly skilled talent pool, who bring deep expertise in digital media and video technology, beyond traditional broadcasting. This injection of talent will drive innovation in new directions and reinforce EVS's position as a pioneer in the sector.

The acquisition will provide an enhanced product offering with a broader, more integrated range of solutions to streamline media workflows from ingest to distribution, while also increasing investment capacity in research and development to drive technological advancements and deliver cutting-edge solutions.

On the other hand, it will enhance customer support and professional services to ensure seamless implementation and optimal use of the combined product portfolio.

MOG Technologies generates annual revenues of approximately €4 million. The acquisition represents a value, including an earn-out mechanism, of less than €5 million.
