Exclusive technical preview of the Avio 2 from Matrox Video, at IBC 2024
The new Avio 2 Matrox Video, defined as the “first” IPMX and ST 2110 IP KVM extender “in the world”, will have a technical preview within the framework of IBC 2024.
The latest addition to the successful product line KVM IP of Matrox Video, el extensor KVM IP HDMI Marriage 2, arrives to provide a video quality and performance “unprecedented”, with support for resolution up to 4K60 4:4:4 and a real-time remote performance completely solid. In the words of Caroline Injoyan, director of business development at Matrox Video: "Avio 2 represents a significant advance in IP KVM technology by adopting open standards to increase quality, interoperability and flexibility. Delivering audio, video and USB control over IP in an industry-standard format opens up new possibilities for workflows in professional AV/IT, medical, broadcasting and high-quality media production. System integrators, consultants and end users will be able to optimize their workflows, reduce costs and complexity and prepare installations for the future."
Avio 2 integrates with the existing infrastructure and allows it to be adapted “efficiently” to installations of any size. This solution, which enables secure, real-time extension and switching of KVM over IP over 1GbE, is compatible with JPEG XS; admit 4K 4:4:4 no real compression over networks 10GbE, and is suitable for “most demanding” applications, such as detailed content manipulation that requires high color fidelity and image quality.
As part of the standard IPMX, Matrox Video has confirmed that Avio 2 is compatible with NMOS, an open API for device discovery and connection management, making it easy to route and control signals through third-party systems in broadcast and live event workflows.
