Matrox Origin Obtains AWS Fundamental Technical Review (FTR) Validation
Obtaining the Fundamental Technical Review (FTR) by Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the Origin solution Matrox Video will enable broadcasters to confidently deploy software-defined media infrastructure in the cloud.
Matrox Origin allows developers to create a software-defined broadcast infrastructure running on generic computing equipment, either on-premises or in the public cloud.
The AWS Fundamental Technical Review (FTR) is a comprehensive assessment that allows AWS Partners to identify and remediate risks to their software or solutions. The review ensures alignment with best practices AWS Well-Architected, emphasizing the safety, reliability, operational excellence, performance efficiency and cost optimization. Passing the FTR demonstrates Matrox Video's commitment to maintaining high standards and provides customers with greater confidence in the robustness, security, and efficiency of solutions deployed on AWS.
Replacing traditional interconnected hardware with clocked and synchronized protocols such as ST 2110 or SDI, Matrox Origin leverages interconnected commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) distributed environments through an asynchronous, uncompressed fabric. This unique architecture, combined with comprehensive control capabilities, frees media processing from hardware limitations, providing high scalability, agility and redundancy.
Daniel Robinson, Chief Product Officer at Matrox Video, said, "Completing the AWS Foundational Technical Review is an important milestone for Matrox ORIGIN, validating the exceptional performance, scalability, and security of our framework in cloud environments. Working closely with AWS helps us deliver advanced broadcast infrastructure solutions with powerful APIs and intuitive controls, enabling our customers to innovate quickly, scale efficiently, and securely transition to workflows defined by software.”
With this milestone as an AWS Partner, Matrox Video is positioned to collaborate even more closely with the AWS community, further enhancing its media services offerings and capabilities. Matrox Origin's extensive suite of multimedia services, including signal processing, graphics, and various I/O services, positions broadcasters for success in an increasingly dynamic multimedia landscape.
