LiveU IQ a mobile and IP and AI connection to “revolutionize” IBC 2024

IBC 2024 has hosted the world premiere of LiveU IQ, a new and “revolutionary” connectivity solution from LiveU that brings together artificial intelligence and big data sets to drive the connection, resilience and performance of IP video transport.

LiveU IQ dynamically and intelligently switches mobile network operators to provide the set of cellular connections of highest performance available in any location. The solution does so by taking advantage of a series of innovations through Hybrid local and cloud-based eSIMs, AI, data and algorithms.

This solution allows backpacks LiveU deploy a smart link, dynamically selecting the best cellular connection options available at any time and place. Samuel Wasserman, co-founder and CEO of LiveU, highlights the differences of LiveU IQ with other solutions on the market, often limited to "a fixed and pre-selected set of mobile operators": "We can now dynamically and intelligently switch to the best-performing network configurations, live and on the air. (...) LiveU IQ always takes advantage of the strengths of our partner network operators by automatically switching to higher-performing networks, even in rural areas or with congested networks."

LiveU IQ does not replace, but complements the protocol LRT, which “guarantees” video transmission over IP by merging the available IP connection links into a more robust and higher bandwidth connection. Building on a data repository created from the activity logs of hundreds of thousands of SIMs, LIQ adds another dimension by ensuring that the cellular components of the bonded link are always the best available.

LiveU Studio: rediseño en IBC 2024

Otro gran atractivo de la presencia de LiveU in IBC 2024 es la renovada LiveU Studio, a solution designed so that a single operator can have production tools such as instant replays, integrated graphics, dynamic ad insertion or ISO recording at their fingertips.

The tool debuts a redesigned UX at the Amsterdam fair, as well as new tools widely demanded by the industry: Instant Replay, which allows generating up to four angles of multi-angle repetitions and slow motion playback in sync “and with a single click”; ISO recording, which improves post-production efficiency with independent capture of up to six camera signals, and dynamic ad insertion, unlocking new revenue streams through OTT and FAST platforms with insertion of SCTE-35 markers.

LiveU has also joined forces with external partners to allow a simple integration of graphics, logos and custom HTML-based elements, as well as to add support for video editors based on artificial intelligence.
