Thus, the course reflects the need for training in a context of transition towards Ultra High Definition by the industry and in which there is a demand to train professionals in the management of the new characteristics of the UHD signal.
Participants will acquire the necessary knowledge to face the fundamental challenges that the implementation of UHD entails, such as higher bit depth forced by recommendation ITU-R BT.2020, the use of high dynamic range coexisting with standard dynamic range, the greatest capacity of color representation, the oldest refresh rate in the image box or next-generation audio possibilities.
For its part, the teaching staff is made up of active professionals from the main companies in the sector and media groups in Spain who, under the umbrella of UHD Spain, work for the definitive implementation of the UHD signal in our country.
They will be part of the team teaching team Carlos Casán (Conan); Xavier Bonet and Jordi Mata (CCM); Xavier Red (cellnex); Vicente Pla Pla (Coitt); Sonia valladas and Ricardo Viñas (Dalbyy); Elena Budiel (Frauhofer II); Emili Planas (Grup Mediapro); Robert Salvador Bueno Klein (rtve); Miguel Angel Corral (Treve); John José Anaia (sapec); Julián Fernandez-Camp (tedicia); José Luis Blanco, David Jiménez and José Manuel Menéndez (Upm); So like heray alphageme and Francisco José Espinosa ‘Tilano’, as an independent expert.
The program includes topics such as the evolution of the UHD signal, next-generation NGA audio, the capture, production and encoding of the UHD video signal, its transport and broadcast, as well as monitoring, live and delayed broadcast architectures, value-added services in UHD and content distribution and archiving.
The course delivery modality will be remote (by connecting to the class through the Teams platform). Classes will be recorded to facilitate later viewing in order to facilitate reconciliation with work schedules and specific absences from classes.
The course isstructured in two modules, which are taught sequentially in time. You can take both modules, or only one of them.
Although no academic qualification is required to access the course, it is recommended that the student have previous studies, either a university degree or a higher level in Vocational Training related to technical topics that include the study of the audio and video signal in the signal broadcast on television, audiovisual communication or the production and realization of this type of content.
