The latest study of Tata Communications Media, under the title of “The rise of video and live streaming in the company”, highlights the growing demand for broadcast quality video among the corporate sphere in its broadest spectrum.

Tata Comms Media has commissioned I know Research a survey among 300 large companies from the US and UK from the financial, technology, manufacturing, healthcare and other sectors to discover their expectations and needs in the field of video. The results leave no room for doubt: broadcast quality of the video is already a non-negotiable in the environments corporate. As an example, a button: almost two thirds (65%) of respondents indicated that they would give up broadcasting live critical events rather than compromising the quality of the broadcast.

According to the Tata Comms report, 89% of respondents say their stakeholders now expect live broadcast events, such as product launches, earnings calls and customer conferences, meet broadcast quality standards. Additionally, 84% of companies would only partner with one live video provider with trusted broadcast experience, which underlines the need for reliability and impeccable execution.

Although 43% of companies still manage video production in-house, those that outsource to agencies or professional production companies are more likely to achieve broadcast-quality results. 60% of companies that outsource report that the quality of their videos meets desired standards, compared to only 36% of those that rely solely on in-house teams, highlighting the value of specialized external resources to obtain high quality results. With this clear trend towards professional quality video, companies are increasingly investing in multimedia services.
