Cinema Days chooses 'The Blue Star' as the best film of 2024

The 12th edition of the annual awards of the La 2 'Días de Cine' program (RTVE) has proclaimed 'The Blue Star' by Javier Macipe the best Spanish film of 2024, an achievement that in the international section has been won by 'La chimera' by Alice Rohrwacher.

Movie days, directed by Gerardo Sanchez, will present the awards, which can be followed by RTVE Play, in the Auditorium 400 of the Reina Sofia Museum the next January 15 with the presence of “practically all the winners.” Beyond the awards to The blue star y The Chimera as best national and international film, respectively, Movie Days has shared the complete list of winners.

In the acting section, the best Spanish Actor 2024 has been Eduard Fernandez, by The 47, (also owned by RTVE) and Marco, while the Best Spanish Actress 2024 has been Emma Vilarasau, by House in flames. At the international level, the award for Best International Actor 2024 has gone to Paul Giamatti by Those who stay, and Best International Actress 2024, in Lubna Azabal by Amal.

The 2024 El Resplandor Award has been for Zoe Bonafonte, by The 47; the 2024 A Star is Born award, for Pepe Lorente, protagonist of The blue star; The Future is a Woman Award 2024 has gone to Daniela Cajías, by The sparkles, which has the participation of RTVE; the Somos Cine 2024 Award, which is awarded each year to a film participated by RTVE, to Second prize by Isaki Lacuesta and Pol Rodríguez; the Life in Shadows Award 2024, for Javier Rebollo by In the sultan's bedroom, and the Chosen for Glory 2024 award for the director Cecilia Bartholomew.

Closes the list of winners of the 12th edition of the Film Days awards: the 2024 Best Documentary Award, which went to Not a pretty picture, of Martha Coolidge y No other land of Adra Basel, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor; the Banda Apart Award 2024, for The love scam of Virginia García del Pino; the 2024 Audience Award, for Escape de Rodrigo Cortes, a film participated by RTVE, and the Award for Best Animated Film 2024, for Rock Bottom, of Maria Trenor. Finally, the score of Victor Reyes to Escape has been chosen Best Soundtrack of 2024.
