Tony Chambers, new president of a restructured The Walt Disney Company EMEA
Tony Chambers will direct The Walt Disney Company EMEA, a division that is being restructured with the aim of “unifying” in the company's global strategy.
Chambers, which takes over from a Jan Koeppen who will leave his position in February, will report to the co-presidents of Disney Entertainment, Alan Bergman y Dana Walden, and the president of ESPN, Jimmy Pitaro. The regional president will continue to be the representative of the company in the region and will be responsible for consolidate strategic and financial priorities, as well as coordinating the teams at the regional level, leading the local initiatives covering all businesses (excluding Disney Experiences) and overseeing human resources, communications and finance.
In the new structure of The Walt Disney Company EMEA, several of the company's business lines in the region, including Direct to consumer, Advertising sales, Platform distribution, Networks, Local original content, Studio Marketing, Film distribution and Sports, they will go to depend directly on global leaders of those businesses. In this way, it centralizes coordination through global managers who will supervise the income statements of their respective regional businesses in EMEA.
