Ross Video acquisition buys EagleEye acquires

EagleEye sec.swiss (swiss electronic creation), a brand of cable camera systems for both television studios and large sports productions, becomes part of the catalog of a Ross Video which thus completes its Spidercam series, giving more possibilities to the broadcast industry.

With this strategic move, Ross Video seeks to improve its portfolio movement systems with an even broader set of “creative solutions” prepared to provide the “immersive points of view” typical of the cable cameras to more types of productions. In the words of Karen Walker, Vice President of Camera Motion Systems and General Manager of Spidercam at Ross Video: "This acquisition allows us to address the growing demand for cable camera systems with a versatile offering that can cater to both rental and purchase models. By integrating sec.swiss technology, we not only expand the spidercam range, but also strengthen our ability to offer scalable solutions for our clients' most ambitious productions."

Thanks to the acquisition of the brand sec.swiss, users will be able to access modular systems adapted to environments broadcast, cinema or for events in straight. Specifically, Ross Video will offer systems 1D to offer vertical movements in studio; systems 2D for horizontal and vertical shots in sports and events, and systems 3D for dynamic aerial shots in complex productions.

David Ross, head of Ross Video, said following the acquisition: "Cable cameras bring the audience into the event with camera angles, shots and movements that cannot be achieved in any other way. Now that we have EagleEye as part of our portfolio, Ross will be able to offer this creative option to an even broader range of clients."

David Ryner, co-founder and CEO of sec.swissHe adds: "This move amplifies what we have built at sec.swiss, combining our experience with the resources and vision for growth of Ross Video. It is an exciting future for our customers, partners and the entire aerial camera industry."

The solutions of EagleEye, which will be available for both purchase as rental, will begin to be manufactured at Ross facilities in Canada, expanding in this process its scope and scale of operation.
