Brainstorm will discern the future of 6G by participating in FLECON-6G

FLECON-6G, a project designed to transform the industry through 6G technologies, will have the collaboration of Brainstorm, a company that will develop a new teleportation system.

Born in January 2025 in Barcelona, FLECON-6G aims to introduce an innovative approach towards connectivity and immersive experiences to address some of the biggest challenges in the telecommunications and media sectors. The project is coordinated by Prof. Christos Verikoukis from the Institute of Industrial Systems/Athena Research Center, a Greek institution with extensive experience in advanced telecommunications solutions.

FLECON-6G will explore the concept of “network of networks", which could facilitate transmission over a multi-operator path. It will also address the network management based on artificial intelligence, which will improve system reliability by providing ultra low latency.

With 6G technology, manufacturing companies can optimize operations by taking advantage of the real-time data processing y high capacity networks for faster response times and improved content quality. Improved remote production capabilities mean reduced travel and setup costs. Immersive storytelling techniques open up new possibilities for audience participation, allowing content creators to design more interactive and personalized experiences. Additionally, the project's focus on sustainability helps media companies meet their environmental goals by optimizing resource use and minimizing waste.

Brainstorm, collaborator of this project, is developing a new system of teleportation based on the stereoscopic capture of participants and their visualization through glasses virtual reality. Processing of these captures will leverage the FLECON infrastructure to distribute content processing across the transmission network. This approach will help reduce latency and to create a system capable of enabling interaction between participants, even when the signals that represent them are among the most demanding in terms of bandwidth and frame rate.

The teleportation infrastructure we are developing is a radical change for immersive content, allowing participants to connect in ways previously unimaginable," he remarks.
