XD motion and Brainstorm will exploit the potential of the VP

Advanced robotic systems XD motion will be part of the demo with which Brainstorm will demonstrate the suitability of InfinitySet for virtual production (VP) environments.

The main demo of Brainstorm and NAB 2024 (April 13-17) will show the possibilities that the combination of InfinitySet with two innovative products XD motion: Arcam 10 and Arcan 20, advanced robotic systems designed to perform complex dynamic shots for virtual production workflows, and IOBot, a cutting-edge broadcast automation tool that improves operational efficiency and creative capabilities.

The demonstration will take place in a mixed environment using a chroma background and one large LED screen that combine to create a television show, including presenter teleportation, AR graphics, in-context data, and a large interactive touchscreen panel that the presenter will use to control the show. The two Arcam robots will be synchronized each other so that their point of view is identical, which will allow a very realistic virtual integration of the presenters, with a precise perspective and perfect results.

The integration of both systems combines a protocol FreeD for tracking data, with the possibility of controlling the Arcan directly from the InfinitySet interface thanks to the XD motion API and the flexibility of InfinitySet to act as a hub for different technologies, in addition to its full compatibility with various industry protocols. This makes it possible for InfinitySet launch and stop presets, orchestrating the activation of robotic camera parameters, in addition to InfinitySet virtual cameras.
