SpoTV renews its playout with a turnkey automated system from Imagine Communications

The combination of the Versio playout platform and the ADC automation tool of Imagine Communications will allow SpoTV, sports content provider, automate its broadcast processes.

SpoTV broadcasts top-notch international and Asian sports content throughout Southeast Asia, such as Wimbledon, US Open, MotoGP, ROSHN Saudi League and Major League Baseball, among others. To ensure high quality service and meet the growing demands of the audience, SpoTV decided to integrate the platform Version of Imagine, a tool that in the words of Prakash Maniyam, head of issuance operations and engineering, provides a “highly integrated and reliable issuance infrastructure that can grow as our needs change.”

The new workflow creation of redundant 6+2 channels of SpoTV is based on the union of Versio with automation software ADC, which in turn integrates with all types of devices and business systems. In this way, high-performance video servers Nexio+ AMP Imagine can manage content ingestion, while Version Content Portal manages the workflow. In parallel, asset management software Nexio Motion Ensures that the correct content is loaded onto Versio instances in sufficient time for the scheduled broadcast.

Version from Imagine Communications, offers the full spectrum of broadcast functions (advanced graphic insertion, Key and Fill support, live master control switching, SCTE insertion, audio shuffle, loudness control, etc.), allowing SpoTV reduce the number of physical devices necessary in its transmission chain. Additionally, the platform's unique user interface simplifies chain operations and facilitates monitoring and maintenance.
