BBC Player: countdown to its arrival in Spain with Movistar Plus+

The alliance between Movistar Plus+ y BBC Studios expands with the launch of BBC Player and two new linear channels.

At the end of 2025, Movistar Plus+ will incorporate BBC Player for the first time in Spain. This service will have more than 1,000 hours of curated content (documentaries, series or programs) from the catalog of BBC Studios, and will be available to all Movistar Plus+ customers. The confirmation of the arrival of this service in Spain comes accompanied by the announcement of the launch of two new linear channels which will be added to those already released last January.

Movistar Plus+'s alliance with BBC Studios began ago ten years. Since then, Telefónica's platform has exclusively released its most shocking, entertaining or inspiring titles: from the great nature and science documentaries under the BBC Earth label such as Planet Earth III o Mammals, even recognized series like Time (T2) or Blue Lights. The partnership will continue in the near future with a wide variety of releases, including widely anticipated documentaries such as Walking with dinosaurs II, Human, Kingdom, Felines T2 or Blue Planet III.
