Mediaset Italia modernizes its playout with solutions from Evertz

Mediaset Italy y Evertz have worked together to design and implement the broadcaster's next-generation broadcast and channel creation solution. The low-latency, SMPTE ST-2110-based solution employs Evertz Mediator automation/MAM, integrated Overture-RT-LIVE playback servers, MAGNUM-OS orchestration, and VUE control interfaces.

The system design offers exceptional resistance by adopting a highly distributed architecture within and across multiple sites, while maintaining a full synchronization. With more than 26 canales, the system offers advanced features and functions that support highly dynamic live sports/news channels as well as topical channels.

Mediator provides system automation, but also advanced MAM features to streamline and automate content ingestion, quality control, and scheduling workflows for a multitude of different content types and signal sources. With its ability to support on-premises, cloud and hybrid architectures, the solution provides future-proofing that will enable Mediaset to drive business transformation by leveraging the underlying technology stack as its business evolves over time.
