DirectOut - Prodigy - Method Audio

Prodigy.MC (DirectOut), modular audio converter, plays a fundamental role in the workflow of Method Audio, a company specialized in the recording and production of music for television and major tours.

Matt Manix, responsible for Method Audio, began his career accompanying music groups on tours around the world. On these trips he realized the adaptability of the series products Prodigy of DirectOut when interconnecting with mobile units. When he made the leap to broadcast sound, he began to understand the versatility of the series Prodigy, starting with the Exbox.MD for conversions MADI to Dante. As soon as the Prodigy.MC model came out, he was an early adopter: "At first we used it as a stage box. Our .MC is loaded with analog and we use the modules; we have MADI, Dante and SoundGrid, everything you need to get things going, so it's really useful."

DirectOut - Prodigy - Method Audio Manix spends most of his day working on televised performances high level, such as the COPA América halftime show in Miami, The People's Choice Country Music Awards or the March Madness Music Festival. In all of these productions, he has the support of DirectOut, as he explains: "I had rented a Prodigy.MP to a client who then subleased it to another company for a massive corporate show in North America. The original company prepared everything and shipped the equipment, but once it went out into the field, the user realized that he needed a different license package that was not loaded on the device."

How Prodigy Series Licenses Are Installed via license files, which are associated with the device serial number. This miscommunication could have caused real difficulties for the event team. Getting the new license approved and installed quickly, with assembly and rehearsals underway, could have been stressful, especially since it was already late. Manix decided to try something a little different to support his client and put a message on Facebook: "I went on Facebook messenger and contacted my friend at DirectOut. I asked him if he could help me and he said of course. He was having dinner on Friday night with his family at home, but he contacted the support department for help. They sent me a link to teamviewer, which I forwarded to the customer, and everything was solved! Crisis averted at the last minute. It was wonderful."

"If you need support via email or the website, it's lightning fast. The responses are always very detailed. I get screenshots packed with information, and they always have a device there. They're working the same way you are, so they know exactly what you're dealing with and can react very quickly. DirectOut is exceptional," he concludes.
