DirectOut supports the update of Studio Berlin's control room in Hamburg
Studio Berlin, specialized in the production of television formats, has deployed two Prodigy.mp, one Prodigy.mx and three Andiamo de DirectOut in its Hamburg control room to provide conversion and redundancy solutions.
During the last years, Studio Berlin used a mobile unit as a production node for its formats in Hamburg. However, an increasingly busy schedule led them to make the decision to replace the vehicle with two new ones. fixed installations, which have a significant selection of DirectOut tools that provide robust and reliable network conversions between the network principal of Ravenna and others audio network protocols.
Three units Let's go convert analog signals into digital and vice versa, while the Prodigy.mp takes care of the rest of the conversions. He Prodigy.mx, meanwhile, manages the audio matrix, including wireless microphones and in-ear monitors (IEM).
The use of Prodigy.mx has improved wireless studio monitoring, allowing the audio team to monitor their radio microphones and IEMs with the guarantee of a completely direct signal. In the words of Matthias Hitz, technical director and supervisor of the entire project: "The radio microphone receivers are not in the studio, but in the technical room, where everything is clean and fresh. The antennas are connected to the receivers through the fiber network, and we use globcon with a small tablet to be able to preview the system."
The technical room also houses the two Prodigy.mp que entregan conversiones de audio.
