Granada joins the Network of Film Cities of Andalusia
Asimismo, la firma del convenio permitirá fortalecer la cooperación entre Granada Film Office y Andalucía Film Commission in key areas such as foreign promotion, attraction of filming, training of professionals and the enhancement of local heritage to through film and television.
This agreement represents firm support from the current municipal corporation for the work being carried out by the Granada Film Office, an office dependent on the Granada City Council, which for two decades has facilitated and coordinated audiovisual filming in the city, projecting its image nationally and internationally. Within the framework of the media dissemination plan that Andalucía Film Commission carried out annually by the city of Granada, it has had a presence in international media such as Variety or Screen's World of Locations and in national media, such as in the annual special of the magazine of the Film Academy from Spain.
These types of actions, now reinforced by the agreement, will allow Granada continue positioning itself as a city open to cinema, with the capacity to compete on a global level. The Granada City Council, through its Film Office, reaffirms its commitment to the development of a innovative, sustainable and opportunity-generating audiovisual industry for local talent.
