DAZN Techex TAG FIFA Club World Cup

A completely new, scalable, flexible and centralized infrastructure created in collaboration with Techex y TAG Video Systems allowed DAZN broadcast globally FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

In the FIFA Club World Cup they competed 32 of the most successful clubs from all continents in one only tournament of 63 matches. DAZN, as owner of the global rights to the tournament, needed a infrastructure able to withstand the complexity of the competition. To meet this demand, DAZN built, in collaboration with Techex, a new Master Control Room (MCR) global based on 2110 system in Leeds (United Kingdom).

The system provides a centralized control about more than 5,000 unique video sources y 300 mosaic designs which, once in DAZN's central data centers, are routed to its operational centers of Leeds, Northern Ireland and Hyderabad with the TAG media control system (MCS) and are managed through a redundant core interface. This approach that reduces bandwidth usage, remove to infrastructure duplication and allows route any source to any operator or screen without the need for reconfiguration.

DAZN Techex TAG FIFA Club World CupTechex worked in collaboration with DAZN's project and operations teams on the Overall system architecture and delivery, focusing on the continued development of orchestrated workflow deployments of DAZN, using technologies such as tx edge to provide protection and monitoring of DAZN signals, optimizing signal quality and ensuring delivery. Richard Bailey, CPTO of Techex, does not hesitate to emphasize that his company offered “a technically sound solution, easy to use and adapted to DAZN's changing needs.”

In parallel, TAG developed a dedicated operator console, designed specifically for DAZN's live streaming and MCR environments. The touch interface allows operators to interact directly with the tile, changing channels, validating ad markers, adjusting audio and managing alarms in real time. Its intuitive, feature-based design minimizes complexity and eliminates the need for engineering intervention for daily tasks. According to Kevin Joyce, head of Zero Friction at TAG Video Systems, "this project provides DAZN with the necessary agility to offer live sports coverage on a global scale. Together with Techex, we have built a monitoring platform that enables smarter operations, faster response and lower operational risk."
