Sapec renews the head of SICOM Television in Mexico
SICOM Television, the public television of the Mexican State of Puebla, undertakes an ambitious project to renew its broadcast headquarter, relying on the consulting, prescription, execution, solutions and after-sales service of Sapec.
Through Brotelec and with a team led by Gabriella Galán working in collaboration with Sapec professionals located in Madrid, the company has been in charge of the initial consulting, equipment prescription, infrastructure design, testing, configuration and after-sales support, thus being a core part of the new stage in the trajectory of television.
SICOM Television began its broadcasts in 2003 with programming that combines information, entertainment and public service. As a public radio station in the State of Puebla, the station broadcasts in the city of the same name and in Zacatlán, and also has a total of eight radio stations located in different locations in the region.
Recently, SICOM contacted Sapec to undertake a total design of your header to adapt their broadcasts to high definition resolutions. After receiving the advice and prescription of the Spanish company, he decided to trust several of its solutions, starting with two Laguna Octal which are responsible for coding, multiplexing and uploading to satellite for distribution to six reception sites strategically distributed in the state: Huauchinango, Teziutlán, Zacatlán, Acatlán, Izúcar de Matamoros and Tehuacán.
In each of these facilities, Sapec has deployed a unit Gredos GGR1000 which is responsible for downloading the header and demodulating it, so that six additional Laguna Octal units subsequently transcode the signals and multiplex them to generate headers with different bandwidths and formats. Everything, in HD and with Dolby audio.
Sapec, beyond the consulting process, was responsible through BROTELEC for the configuration, testing, training and onboarding process. Additionally, the company offers a remote and technical support service that is prepared to meet each of the needs of radio and television. The project is completed with a second project to SICOM Radio which has allowed us to improve the delivery of content to each of its transmission centers.
