Teradek CTRL.5 or how to optimize the art of focusing
Teradek will show at IBC 2025 the camera control function for the Teradek RT CTRL.5 controller available for RED and ARRI cameras.
The release introduces a camera page to the CTRL.5 screen, allowing users to view the status of cameras in real time and make basic configuration adjustments directly from the controller. Key camera settings such as ISO, FPS, shutter speed and white balance can now be assigned to user buttons for quick access on set.
Colin McDonald, Product Manager for Cinema, comments: "Our goal with the CTRL.5 is to optimize the art of focusing. Camera control has always been part of our roadmap. After extensive testing, we are excited to offer WiFi compatibility for RED (Komodo, V-Raptor, Dragon, Monstro, Gemini) and ARRI (Alexa 35, Alexa Mini, Alexa LF, Amira) cameras, and we are actively working to expand this to Sony and have plans for other camera manufacturers. cameras. Since this feature was not available at launch, we are offering it for free, for a limited time, to all current CTRL.5 owners and new buyers as a thank you for your patience.”
With WiFi Camera Control, CTRL.5 can access multiple cameras on the same network using IP configurations. Users have several flexible connection options either to the camera's WiFi network, to the CTRL.5's integrated WiFi access point, or by connecting both devices to a shared router, such as the Link AX. Additionally, it is possible to enable remote control of the camera in remote locations via IP.
