Lynx - Yellobrik - IBC 2025

Signal distribution, IP conversion and optical multiplexing are the three fields that Lynx Technik will be addressed directly with the launch of three new solutions within the framework of IBC 2025, an event that will take place in Amsterdam from September 12 to 15.

The new DVD 5410 for the serie 5000 is defined as a 1×8 distribution amplifier for all broadcast video formats up to 12G-SDI. The system takes a single video signal and creates multiple identical outputs, ensuring that each copy is clean and stable for later routing or use. The DVD 5410 can operate in reclocked or non-reclocked mode and offers “great return loss performance” for 4K signals. An optional power failure relay maintains signal flow in the event of a power failure, and integration with LYNXCentraal enables remote control, monitoring and error reporting.

The second novelty from Lynx for IBC 2025 is the new OCM 1800 yellobrik, which can send or receive up to 18 individual signals over a single fiber optic link. The tool uses multiplexing by coarse wavelength division (CWDM) to combine multiple signals into a single fiber and then separate them at the other end, allowing for more efficient use of existing infrastructure. Supporting CWDM wavelengths from 1270 to 1610 nm, it installs easily in a standard rack and requires no power, making it an efficient option for facilities that need to expand their capacity without major infrastructure changes.

Finally, the CDE 1922 yellobrik transfer video and audio between redes SDI e IP, supporting up to four simultaneous HD video streams: 2x 3G-SDI to IP and 2x IP to 3G-SDI. It operates with SMPTE ST 2110 uncompressed video, audio and ancillary data, and provides full link redundancy through ST 2022-7 seamless protection switching. Built-in NMOS support for IS-04, IS-05, and IS-08 makes device discovery, registration, and connection management easier in IP-based workflows.
