RED Digital Cinema will bring its innovative Cine-Broadcast module to IBC 2025

It features a robust Lemo SMPTE 311M/304M hybrid fiber optic cable connector connected to a 2U full rack mountable base station or 4U half rack mountable base station.
The module further expands the advanced slow motion workflows, AI/ML enhancements and real-time 8K 120 FPS R3D streaming via the RED Connect license-enabled feature. The Cine Broadcast module has recently been implemented in events broadcast by CBS Sports, NBC Sports Group and MotoAmerica.
On the other hand, visitors to the stand will be able to see the advanced process Broadcast Color, which facilitates live painting of RED cameras in broadcast or streaming environments and allows on-demand adjustments and color matching between multiple cameras using traditional broadcast controls. This latest functionality comes in a firmware update for RED's V-Raptor XL and V-Raptor cameras and uses industry-standard RCP to control painting parameters in real time over IP, while saving per-frame information in the recorded file metadata.
New this year, RED will present the perfect Integration of the Cine-Broadcast module with the XT-VIA live production server EVS, which allows broadcasters to enhance their workflows with up to 4x super slow motion in 4K and 8x in 1080p, while offering two baseband channels simultaneously. This capability is driven by RED Connect function licensed from RED, enabling R3D IP live streaming and unlocking advanced workflows, including real-time AI/ML upscaling and live streaming to headsets using 8K, 120 FPS R3D.

RED cameras with Nikon Z mount
IBC attendees will be able to see the new RED V-Raptor [X] and Komodo-X with the Z mount of Nikon. The RED V-Raptor [X] offers unrivaled low-light performance, dynamic range, resolution, high frame rates and a large format sensor with the 8K VV global shutter. RED's Komodo-X features a 6K S35 global shutter sensor and frame rates of 6K 80P and 4K 120P.
The Z mount offers enormous flexibility in lens selection and provides a complete capture solution, from lens to sensor to codec. With a smaller flange depth and larger diameter, the Nikon Z-mount supports lens designs with sharper focus and superior aberration control. The Z lens offers unmatched low-light performance and edge-to-edge detail, as well as autofocus performance on the V-Raptor [X] and Komodo-X cameras.
