Venice Mini, Burano, FX2 and a Sony camera prototype, revealed at EnergaCameraimage 2025
Sony resumes its role as main sponsor of EnergaCameraimage (November 15-22, Poland), a festival in which it will present the latest innovations from its Cinema line.
Among other solutions, Sony will put the focus on Venice Extension System Mini, which will be displayed in various settings, including settings Cyclops y Human PoV; the cinematic solution Burano, and the new Sony FX2, camera that will star in an interesting experience: an open shoot through the streets of Torun with a selection of Sony E-mount lenses. At the end, attendees will be able to download the shots onto an individual USB memory, supplied by the organization of the event.
Beyond being able to reveal a camera prototype who was instrumental in the filming of the acclaimed F1: The Movie, Sony will organize two round tables with leading directors of photography (DoP) on the Tuesday and Friday of the festival. These mini-seminars will delve into the future of cinematography, exploring the impact of new technologies on the art of cinema and offering the opinions of some of the most respected professionals in the sector.
In conversation: The cinematographers nominated for Camerimage 2025 talk about the filming of their latest projects (Tuesday, November 18 | 17:00) will bring together cinematographers Phedon Papamichael ASC, GSC and Michał Sobociński PSC, who will delve into their creative choices and detail how they used Sony cameras to help them achieve their vision. On the other hand, In conversation: Cinematographer Aleksandar Jakonic on shooting different and diverse projects with Sony Cinema Line cameras (Friday, November 21 | 2:00 p.m.) will bring viewers closer to the creative vision of the Serbian filmmaker.
