Warner Bros Discovery - Balance losses

The previously existing strategic partnership between Canal+ y Warner Bros. Discovery (waiting for the possible purchase by Netflix) has been renewed with a transversal agreement that involves the renewal of a wide selection of pay television signals that will reach different territories in Europe and Africa.

As part of the agreement, Canal+ has confirmed that it will retain the pay TV window exclusivity for feature films Warner Bros. Pictures six months after its theatrical release. The alliance also covers direct integration of HBO Max into several of the French operator's subscription packages.

The agreement also covers other European territories. HBO Max distribution via Canal+ will arrive for the first time in Belgium and Australia; the retransmission rights of HBO, HBO Max and Cinemax in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania will be managed by the French operator, and windows such as CNN International, Cartoon Netwoork or Cartoonito will continue to be channeled through the Canal+ platform in Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic and Romania. Furthermore, the renewal in Poland It will include 22 thematic signals and four open television services.

With regards to Africa, Canal+ will maintain the distribution of 12 Warner Bros. Discovery thematic signals throughout the group's territories MultiChoice, with selected exclusivities in South Africa, Angola and Mozambique.
