Sennheiser - ISE 2026 - Spectera

The showcase of Sennheiser in ISE 2026 (February 3 – 6, Fira de Barcelona) brings with it important news in the Spectera ecosystem, a new generation digital wireless system that debuts API, advances its roadmap and opens pre-sales for the Spectera SKM handheld transmitter (both in the UHF and 1.4 GHz versions).

Available from the second quarter of this year, the new Spectra API comes to enable advanced customization and control in multi-vendor workflows. The API, which will arrive in the second trimester and builds on Sennheiser's tradition of open protocols, it offers bidirectional capabilities that open up a whole new level of integration, allowing productions to tailor Spectera to their precise workflow requirements, supporting both DIY users and third-party solutions from industry partners such as Bitfocus Companion, SoundBase, Sonoros and many more.

The first demonstrations of its application can be seen during the Catalan event in the Spectera Lab from Sennheiser, a space in which the latest news about what is to come for Spectera, and the industry will be invited to participate in the creation of the ecosystem through the Idea Space and a channel Discord.

Sennheiser - ISE 2026 - SpecteraAt ISE 2026 you can also see the Spectera ecosystem handheld transmitter, a handheld device with Sennheiser's standard capsule interface for Sennheiser and Neumann microphone heads that features an anodized aluminum body with OLED display. The bidirectional data flow that allows WMAS implementation from Sennheiser offers the operator full remote control of microphone parameters such as low cut or gain.

Reservations are also open for Command adapter from Spectera, which allows users to change audio routing with the push of a button, for example, to facilitate communication between talent and the technical team. Whether programmed to toggle, mute or push-to-talk, Command functionality makes communication control easy and immediate.

The advances of engineer mode (cue mode) for live sound applications (expected December 2026), the command adapter for the SEK (expected May 2026) and the ZMAN base station with the ST 2110-30 standard for integration into broadcast workflows (scheduled for August 2026) complete Spectera's presentations at the fair.
