BTESA faces the comprehensive renewal of Telecom CLM's DVB-T/T2 headend
Telecom CLM trust BTESA the architectural design, supply, installation and commissioning of the new DVB-T headend in its facilities in Toledo, thus laying the technological foundations for scalability to Phase 2 of territorial disconnections.
This comprehensive project allows to modernize the diffusion service provided to Castile-La Mancha Middle (RTVCM), replacing old infrastructures with efficient and state-of-the-art solutions. Regarding coding and multiplexing, it involves the implementation of a centralized system with full redundancy (1+1) based on technology Atem, using the equipment Titan Live y Titan Mux. This solution supports the encoding of high-resolution television channels and multiple radio services, also preparing the headend for future technological transitions.
On the other hand, with this installation Telecom CLM gives support to the use of interactivity under the HbbTV standard. BTESA has integrated the iSims solution from MiTXperts. This system is responsible for managing the metadata and the AIT table (Application Information Table) to enable the “red button” functionalities, responding to the needs for generating EPG and HbbTV services.
For the generation of SFN signaling in the DVB-T network, equipment has also been integrated Enensys SmartGate T that operate as redundant MIP inserters. Furthermore, with the aim of guaranteeing maximum availability, the solution has been deployed Enensys Edge Probe. This allows exhaustive monitoring of the headend output signal, both at the ASI and IP levels.
It should be noted that this deployment has covered all critical phases, including architectural design, supply, installation, commissioning, training and maintenance, ensuring a smooth transition without causing interruptions in the current service.
