LiDAR in pocket format: Sony redefines integration in drones and robots

The LiDAR AS-DT1, depth sensor Sony Aimed at applications such as drones or autonomous mobile systems, it offers resolution, long-distance compatibility and ease of integration in a very light, miniature size.

The new LiDAR depth sensor in miniature, ya available, is among the smallest and lightest in the world, with dimensions of just 29 mm x 29 mm x 31 mm, excluding protrusions, and weighing only about 46 g. Equipped with technology LiDAR of direct flight time (dToF) and a Patented single photon avalanche diode sensor (SPAD), the AS-DT1 offers a Fast and high-precision three-dimensional distance measurement, easily adapting to low contrast and low reflectivity objects. Its wide measurement range reaches up to 40 meters indoors y 20 meters outdoors in bright conditions, which “ensures reliable performance in variable environments,” says Sony itself.
