Lumine Group adquiere Imagine Communications

Lumine Group acquires Imagine Communications, one of the historic technology providers for the broadcast industry, in an operation that significantly expands its presence in the media software and infrastructure market.

Although the financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, Lumine assures that Imagine will continue to operate as an independent business within its decentralized organizational model.

Headquartered in the United States, Imagine Communications provides video connectivity solutions, continuity systems, broadcast infrastructure, and advertising management and monetization platforms powered by artificial intelligence. Its technologies are present in television networks, cable operators, OTT platforms and sports networks around the world.

The addition of Imagine allows Lumine reinforce its growth strategy throughout the audiovisual media value chain. Specifically, the operation adds new continuity and broadcast capabilities to its video processing portfolio, while expanding its offering in the field of television monetization thanks to solutions such as Landmark Sales, Imagine's commercial management and advertising sales platform based on AI.

Tony Garcia, COO of Lumine Group, acknowledges that this transaction “is an important addition to Lumine's growing media ecosystem,” and highlights that the group will maintain its long-term acquisition philosophy (buy-and-hold forever), providing stability for Imagine to continue developing its technology and supporting its international customer base.

Imagine Communications - Steve Reynolds - CEOFor its part, Steve Reynolds, CEO of Imagine Communications, says the integration will allow the company to continue innovating with a stable structure and a long-term vision, while maintaining its operational autonomy within the Canadian group.

The acquisition comes at a time of intense activity for Lumine Group in the communications and media technologies sector. During recent months, the company has closed other relevant operations, such as the purchase of the Video Network business of Synamedia and various strategic acquisitions aimed at expanding its ecosystem of specialized software for operators, broadcasters and audiovisual service providers.

For Imagine Communications, the operation represents a new chapter in its history. The company, which in 2025 reinforced its offer with the acquisition of Pixel Power, now becomes part of a group specialized in the acquisition and development of vertical software companies, maintaining the continuity of its activity and its technological roadmap for the linear television, streaming and audiovisual advertising markets.

Tony GarciaWho is Lumine Group?

Lumine Group is a Canadian company specializing in the acquisition and development of software companies for the telecommunications, media and network technologies sectors. Split from Constellation Software in 2023 and listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, the company applies a growth model based on the purchase of consolidated companies with a vision of long-term permanence, maintaining its operational independence and supporting its evolution through investment and strategic resources.

With an international presence, Lumine has been building a broad ecosystem of technology companies that develop solutions for telecommunications operators, broadcasters, OTT platforms and digital service providers. Its portfolio ranges from OSS/BSS software and network management to technologies for video processing, broadcast continuity, television advertising, IP infrastructure and content distribution.

The acquisition of Imagine Communications represents a strategic step in strengthening its media division, by incorporating one of the companies with the longest track record in broadcast infrastructure, channel automation and advertising monetization. With this operation, Lumine reinforces its position as one of the main consolidators of the global market for specialized software for the audiovisual industry, following a strategy aimed at sustainable growth and development of the companies it incorporates, rather than their integration or subsequent sale.
