Tata Communications completes acquisition of The Switch

Once the usual adjustments and mandatory regulatory approvals have been passed, Tata Communications has completed the purchase of 100% of the shares of The Switch.

With the closing of this transaction, valued at 58.8 million dollars, Tata Communications y The Switch begin a new stage with the aim of ushering in a “new world of end-to-end video production and transmission” based on principles such as “high-quality, high-speed and greater immersiveness for the spectators.” Tri Pham, director of strategy at Tata Communications, states emphatically that Real-time immersive video experiences will be the next big leap for companies in the audiovisual world: "We are preparing to offer more powerful platforms to sports federations and broadcasters to help them deliver interactive, fast-paced and always-on forms of entertainment to viewers around the world. The Switch Enterprises will join the area of Media and Entertainment Services (MES) of Tata Communications under the leadership of Dhaval Ponda, global head of Tata Communications' media and entertainment business.
