The included Seagate Dashboard app offers scheduled and automatic backup options for your computer, social media, and even your mobile device. By installing the free Seagate Mobile Backup app on an iOS or Android mobile device, you can also back up all your images and videos from your device to your drive or the cloud.

In addition, this new portable drive allows you to make backup copies of mobile devices via WiFi connection or through services such as Dropbox or Google Drive.

So, for the first time, users can store the same amount of data on a portable drive as on a 3.5-inch desktop drive.
