Rodrigo Prieto, director of photography in 'The Wolf of Wall Street', works with Canon C500

Although Martin Scorsese chose to shoot much of the footage for 'The Wolf of Wall Street' on celluloid, the director of photography, Rodrigo Prieto, included some sequences with the Canon C500.

Although the film industry is betting heavily on the digital cinematography proposals of ARRI or RED, the Canon C500 is gaining ground. The director of photography of the latest feature film starring Leonardo de Caprio, The Wolf of Wall Street, Rodrigo Prieto has trusted the Canon camera for some of his work.

The film tells the story of Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio), an ambitious stock manager who spent almost two years in federal prison for stock manipulation crimes in the 1990s, after a few years in which he lived in a frenetic manner.

At the forefront of film photography such as The Wolf of Wall Street o Argo, Prieto has just signed a very personal work: Human voice, filmed with Canon C500. The shoot was captured in 2K RAW on Super 35mm.
