Teleippica Tv selects the AEQ Arena as its audio console
The Italian network integrates BC-2000 D digital technology in all voiceover and dubbing booths.
The Italian satellite television network Teleippica, specialized in monitoring horse racing worldwide, has selected the AEQ Arena digital audio console to equip its central control. Teleippica TV currently broadcasts a 7x24 programming grid for the entire European continent and North Africa from the Intelsat 905 and Eutelsat W2 satellites, with a potential audience of more than 300 million viewers, from its headquarters in the Pisa region.
Within its facilities, Teleippica TV has a large satellite teleport for the reception of the numerous racing events that take place worldwide, and for the broadcast of its own conveniently prepared programs. All of the video signals present in the station are managed and routed from the company's central control. It is precisely within this room where Teleippica TV has installed an AEQ Arena digital audio console, to control all the signals necessary for the production of the programs.
Inside the main building there are two conference rooms, with five independent commentator positions connected directly to the Arena console. Each of these stations receives five different audio signals from the places where horse racing normally takes place through terrestrial radio links or directly from satellite receivers.
Booth 1 has space for three independent commentators and two additional guests, while booth 2, which is smaller in size, has only two independent journalist positions. Each of these journalist positions has a model SCR03 signaling box, with the possibility of coughing and talkback with the mixing console technician, as well as five buttons to select the audio signal to receive in the headphones. The installation of both rooms is completed with the supply of the corresponding Onair lights.
The entire project has been coordinated by AEQ's commercial manager in Italy, Paolo Corchia, in collaboration with the technical department of Teleippica TV and the central services of AEQ Madrid, who traveled to Pisa to launch the system.
