Focus proposes two new solutions for monitoring and ingestion

Focus Enhancements presents a solution for 24/7 monitoring and another for ingesting up to two definition channels.

Focus Enhancements now offers two new channel products to the market. Based on the award-winning DTE recorder, the portfolio of media conversion and archiving solutions has been augmented with a turnkey solution for ingesting HD material as well as 24/7 monitoring.

Regarding the Focus HD Ingest, it is an easy-to-use solution for capturing up to two HD or SD channels. Combined with the Focus MMC-5HD capture card it is possible to capture SD/HD-SDI, encoding the material using different MPEG-2 bit rates. MMC-5HD includes the new Capture Suite 2.0 application that gives full control over capture (with preview), making it easy to configure metadata during the capture itself. The MMC-5HD ingest card works with SD/HD, MPEG-2 HD, I-Frame-Only (up to 160 Mbit), and LongGOP (up to 50 Mbps) material, supporting these file formats: MPEG Prog. Stream and MXF with HD/SD SDI (embedded audio) inputs, and integrated 4xStereo audio.

On the part of the Focus Capture Suite 2, it offers a 4x SD or 2 HD multichannel stream, direct recording from cameras, Batch digitalization directly from VTR, device control, native metadata integration, incorporation of timecode based on metadata, and the possibility of management from a touch screen.

The MMC-5HD solution including Focus Capture Suite 2.0 software is around 4,000 euros.

MoniSysMoniSys 24/7

On the other hand, MoniSys is designed for 24/7 video or audio monitoring. The content is stored on a reliable video server, being available by date and time at any time. All recorded content can be searched and previewed via software through a simple network connection player to the MoniSys server. After previewing, the content can be saved locally. MoniSys allows you to continuously monitor legal copy, test the broadcast of advertisements or simply to have a long-term archive of any program.

The system allows recording of multiple channels up to 64, two video or four channels per device, automatic MPEG-4 compression, providing up to three months of constant storage with 2 Mbps.

The MoniSys monitoring solution including five RCA client licenses and 3x1TB internal storage configured as RAID 5 for 2x90 days at 1 Mbit/s, is sold at a price of about 9,500 euros.
