Telestream updates its Pipeline video capture solution
The new version 2.4 of the Pipeline video capture system enables the ability to accurately print the HD or SD frame to tape, import EDL and pause-shot timecode in capture mode, saving time and effort for content creators on Mac OS X and PC.
Telestream has just introduced a new version of its Pipeline video capture system. Renowned for SD and HD capture from video tape or any live source, the new version 2.4 adds the ability to accurately print the SD or HD frame back to tape, as well as importing EDL and pause-shot timecode in capture mode. These features will save time and effort for content creators on Mac OS X and PC video production environments.
Recognizing the importance of file-based workflows, Telestream's Pipeline system, already useful for live video ingest, post-production and archival workflows, adds the last important link of content playback back to tape. These hardware encoders are integrated into the network where anyone can access them, offering maximum freedom without the limitations of video card solutions on dedicated stations.
Pipeline offers real-time, user-selectable encoding in both SD and HD formats such as DV, IMX, MPEG-2 I-frame, ProRes 422 SD, DNxHD, ProRes 422 HQ and DVCPRO HD, providing maximum flexibility in multi-format editing environments.
The addition of the print-to-tape option in Pipeline 2.4 allows you to quickly create tapes for work or review. By importing the common EDL GVG4 format into Pipeline 2.4 it is possible to save effort and time when importing and editing from Final Cut Pro, Avid, or any other editing system.
