Unitecnic builds a mobile unit for China
Unitecnic has completed a new international project by building a new mobile television unit for the Lanzhou channel, in Gansu province, China. The technical project has been carried out in two different phases. In the first phase Unitecnic has contributed its technical and operational knowledge for the digitization of the television facilities, which has been carried out with local collaborators for the supply and implementation of the new digital newsroom. In the second phase, and carried out entirely in Spain, Unitecnic, in collaboration with Media Móvil, has designed and launched a completely new mobile television unit that has subsequently been sent to China.
The mobile unit, which has been designed taking into account the client's needs at all times, has a total length of 12 meters made up of a tractor and a 9-meter trailer that has been compartmentalized into three different work areas. An area for technical and camera control, the main area for video production and replays, plus a third area for audio production.
A total of seven triax camera chains of Sony, one of them in wireless mode, make up this new unit. The production has a 2M/E Kahuna mixer with 32 inputs and 24 outputs from Snell as well as all the video electronics used. For the intercom system, solutions from the Spanish brand Kroma have been used, supplying a 24-port digital matrix plus a complete wireless system. For the monitoring system, Kroma and Albiral solutions have also been used, completing the installation with a Crosspoint UMD system.
