Live 3D graphics and animations with the new Viz Trio One-Box
Vizrt will present in Las Vegas a solution based on Viz Trio and intended for both mobile units and studios with limited space. Whereas Viz Trio previously required two PCs (one for Trio and one for Render), Viz Trio-One-Box runs from a single machine.
In such a small and busy area as a mobile unit, reducing equipment is vital for the proper development of a live performance. In Las Vegas, during NAB'10, Vizrt will present its new Viz Trio-One-Box solution, the latest version of its Viz Trio advanced graphics and animation solution. This versatile, intuitive, and fully featured system allows artists and operators to deliver visually complex graphic pieces that enrich live sports, news, and special events.
While until now Viz Trio required two desktop PCs to operate (one for the Trio client and another for its powerful Viz Render engine), from now on Viz Trio-One-Box runs on a single PC with two graphics cards. This does not have any negative impact on graphics quality or rendering speed. With the Trio-One-Box both the preview and the final program VGA signals can be viewed on the same PC.
Gerhard Lang, Head of Engineering at Vizrt commented that "with the new Trio-One-Box, and by moving from two computers to one, we are saving our customers space. This solves a crucial concern for mobile OB environments and in studios where rack space is at a premium. We are also saving our customers money, because there is one less PC to buy, while simplifying the installation and maintenance of the entire system."
