S3D Technologies announces a stereoscopic technology competition

S3D Technologies, a company based in Barcelona and Los Angeles, focused on the research, development and manufacturing of technological tools for stereoscopic audiovisual production, announces the first “Contest for the Best Stereoscopic Technology for your short film” open to any Spanish producer. The deadline is open to September 17, 2010.

S3D Technologies, a company based in Barcelona and Los Angeles, focused on the research, development and manufacturing of technological tools for stereoscopic audiovisual production, in its commitment to contribute to consolidating the technological adaptation of audiovisual producers to 3 dimensions, announces the first “Contest for the Best Stereoscopic Technology for your short film” open to any producer (natural or legal person) in Spain.

The company makes its software and hardware for stereoscopic production available to content generators. Thanks to its fully motorized, precise and high-quality S3D Rigs, it is possible to shoot in 3 dimensions in a comfortable, efficient and safe way. Through its S3D Calculator software, the correct stereoscopic parameters are calculated quickly and without error and through the stereoscopic plugins for the Maya and 3D Studio Max programs, the perfect stereoscopic integration between real image and CGI image is achieved. They also convert 2D images to s3D.

In this contest, whose prize consists of the contribution by S3D of the technological tools for the capture and generation of the stereoscopic image, any natural or legal person based in Spanish territory can participate. To do this, you must send a project that includes, among other documentation, report, synopsis, budget, financing plan and distribution of the short film to info@s3dtechnologies.com before September 17, 2010. The decision of the jury, made up of professionals from the sector, will be announced through the company website on September 27, 2010.
