The Panasonic AU-EVA1 is a compact and lightweight camera that integrates a new sensor Super 35 mm 5,7K (5720x3016, approx. 17.25 million pixels) allowing you to capture authentic cinematic images. Relying on higher native resolution allows the 5.7K sensor to produce higher resolution images when upsampled to 4K, UHD, 2K, and even 720p. Increasing color information translates into more precise and higher quality final images.
The EVA1 includes Dual native ISO such as the VariCam 35, the VariCam LT and the VariCam Pure. Based on a process that allows the sensor to be read completely differently, the dual native ISO function extracts more information without degrading the image. The result is a camera with the ability to switch between standard sensitivity and high sensitivity without additional noise or other undesirable effects. The dual native ISO feature has allowed filmmakers to use less light on set, saving time and money, and giving them a variety of artistic options.
