Haivision buys CoolSing and fully enters the digital signage market
Haivision's entry into CoolSing, until now in the hands of CS Software Holdings, will mean the expansion of the company's business beyond IPTV, fully entering the digital signage and interactive solutions market. CoolSign, the main solution from the company of the same name, was launched more than 12 years ago and has a large installation base in top-tier clients covering a wide spectrum from retail to large corporations, both in corporate TV and DOOH outdoor advertising networks.
Haivision, provider of end-to-end H.264 IP video solutions, has just acquired the assets of CS Software Holdings including CoolSign technology. This subsidiary, founded in 1998, offers comprehensive mission-critical software solutions for digital signage implementations. With CoolSign, Haivision will now be able to offer solutions that combine intelligent video with graphics and data easily and securely to any type of display, including DOOH networks.
Mirko Wicha, president and CEO of Haivision, acknowledged that "with this purchase, Haivision recognizes the opportunity for the convergence of video streaming, IPTV, interactive media, and digital signage. We are positioned as the only company that can offer end-to-end technology solutions and a unified communications infrastructure across all media distribution platforms."
For his part, Lou Giacalone, founder of CoolSign, added that "it is evident that Havision and CoolSign have had a perfectly aligned vision. With our combined resources, both from a technological and experience point of view, under one roof, we will be able to offer truly attractive solutions to the market."
CoolSign, the main solution from the company of the same name, was launched more than 12 years ago and has a large installation base in top-tier clients covering a wide spectrum from retail to large corporations, both in corporate TV and DOOH outdoor advertising networks. CoolSign is a feature-rich signage solution that incorporates sophisticated technology to control, schedule, distribute and display digital content.
Haivision has experienced a growth rate of more than 40 percent over the past six years and has just closed another record year. The company will maintain the CoolSign brand under the Haivision umbrella, already planning cross-actions between both technologies such as the Makito HD encoder or the Furnace IP video system in the coding, distribution and control management of CoolSign solutions.
