The new version 1.3 of the Broadcast Pix solution for broadcasting live events has considerably improved clip storage, giving the opportunity to include up to 120 hours in high definition and stereo audio. Fluent Clip Store is so well integrated into the Granite workflow that it is immediately accessible from the control panel.

Version 1.3 of Broadcast Pix's Granite live production suite has incorporated the Fluent Clip Store system to facilitate access to material in a faster and more intuitive way. This new storage can hold up to 120 hours of HD clips supporting 1920x1080 .mov and .mp4 clips. Another improvement is that all this material can be saved in stereo, both in the audio associated with images and animations, which makes it easier, for example, to have entrance curtains or graphics with audio bursts.

As Ken Swanton, president of Broadcast Pix, explains, "While some switchers incorporate basic animation storage, no other company offers production with true clip stores. With version 1.3 of Granite, we are offering high-resolution clips and animation playback with stereo audio through our dedicated integrated content server."

Fluent Clip Store is so well integrated into the Granite workflow that it is immediately accessible from the dashboard with the names of each file displayed instantly from the PixButtons. In Fluent Multi-View it allows you to have thumbnails of the clip along with the file names and their metadata. Clips are easily imported into Granite using Fluent Watch Folders and immediately ready for playback.

Through a series of macros, clips can be easily combined with mixer movements and graphic file calls, as well as control of robotic cameras and audio mixers.

Granite can store up to 2TB of clips, animations and graphics, and can optionally feature a RAID for additional redundancy and reliability.

Version 1.3 also offers stereo audio output via XLR connectors on the back of the system.
