Broadcast Pix will exhibit its new Granite 2000 model at NAB, the latest addition to the Granite family of live production systems from this manufacturer. It has eleven SDI inputs that can be expanded to twenty-two using a second SDI input and output board, and can be individually configured in 1080i, 720p or SD. Its main advantage is the combination of live video and file-based content.

Broadcast Pix will present its new Granite 2000 model at NAB, the latest addition to the Granite family of live production systems from this manufacturer.

“Granite provides so much power to combine live video and file-based content that you would have to make larger panels to access it all,” said Ken Swanton, president of Broadcast Pix.

The Granite 2000 control panel offers a much larger work area than the Granite 1000. The number of input buttons is expanded from 9 to 16 (possibly up to 32), the number of keyers doubles from 3 to 6, and the auxiliary output buttons are increased from 2 to 10. It also adds priority controls, as well as access keys to display auxiliary output tasks.

The Granite 2000 features 11 SDI inputs expandable to 22 via a second SDI input and output board, and can be individually configured in 1080i, 720p or SD. A high-speed PCI Express port that allows import of material such as clips, animations, graphics, etc. 6 SDI outputs and expandable up to 12 optionally. 2 DVI-D outputs.

The Autoaspect function allows you to mix content in native 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio. Each input and output, clip and graphic can be configured in four different aspects: box, crop, 14:9 and anamorphic.

It has a redundant information source and a software control panel that allows you to access all operations in the event that the physical control panel fails.

On the other hand, highlight the low delay of the video signal, ideal for live events. In addition, it allows a variable delay time to adjust it to other inputs that a process entails, such as picture in picture, and adding clips or graphics.

The Granite 5000 control panel adds new features from the 2000 model, including Fluent macro buttons, control of all auxiliary outputs, and priority controls for each M/E. Plus, it includes additional capabilities for Fluent's new macro controls. Expands the number to 6 keyers, 4 of which have a DVE that allows up to 4 picture in picture.
