Broadcast Pix improves graphics connectivity with cloud databases
Launches version 3.5 of its Flint solution for exchanging files and data in the cloud, integrated with the Mica and Granite production systems.
Broadcast Pix has announced version 3.5 of its Flint solution for exchanging files and data in the cloud, integrated with the Mica and Granite production systems.
This update improves connection to systems such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft SkyDrive, or any other cloud-based resource for integrating graphics, animations, or clips into live productions.
In addition, it provides direct access to Twitter, RSS feeds, and cloud databases.
Access to cloud-based content is increasingly important in today's live video production environment. Broadcast Pix technology allows the system operator to be alerted when a file is received, with the file thumbnail appearing directly on the system monitor, and the file name appearing on the control panel button. Version 3.5 includes enhanced PixMaster file management features for viewing and managing file metadata, such as auto-start configuration files for live productions.
V3.5 also allows any Broadcast Pix system to work more easily with optional Fluent Rapid CG software to connect data from the cloud directly to on-air graphics. The new Fluent Rapid CG LT connects to Twitter and other cloud data sources, allowing Tweets to go live directly or be pre-selected with an integrated management system for editing, reordering or deletion.
The new Fluent Rapid CG V3 includes all LT features plus dual-channel connectivity to local and cloud-based databases, feed automation, and bookmarking. Cloud-based databases are increasingly common in environments such as sports or elections in which Fluent Rapid CG V3 allows, for example, to display sports results from databases directly on the air.
