Telemadrid renews its continuity with Nexio servers from Harris

QinMedia has been responsible for the supply and its integration with the new high definition continuity of Madrid's regional television. The servers work under the control of the latest version of the Harris ADC-100 automation system, integrating both solutions via IP.

The QinMedia company has been awarded the contract for the supply and commissioning of the new HD video server for the continuity of Telemadrid based on Nexio AMP and Volt platforms.

Taking into account the transition from SD to HD, all server channels work interchangeably in both definitions. The server itself has integrated software up-converters and down-converters that work automatically to adapt the content format to the resolution specified for each physical output.

Nexio supports virtually all current video formats including AVC-Intra and DNxHD. All formats are supported natively without the need for additional interfaces, gateways or heavy internal processes.

The server works under the control of the latest version of the Harris ADC-100 automation system. Thanks to the complete integration between both products that guarantees communication via IP, the overall power of the set has been significantly increased by making new tools available to Telemadrid for managing the broadcast and transfer of content.

Pixel Power on MTV Spain

QinMedia, recently appointed distributor of the Cambridge firm in Spain, has also been responsible for the supply and integration of the graphics creation and broadcasting system with Pixel Power on MTV Spain.

El canal musical requería un sistema capaz de soportar los modelos gráficos utilizados por MTV en todo el mundo e integrado con el sistema de automatización usado por el proveedor del servicio.

Otro requisito del sistema era la provisión de un flujo de trabajo completamente automatizado tanto en la emisión de los “templates” como los textos y gráficos. Para ello se ha dispuesto del software de automatización de gráficos Pixel Promo. Dicha aplicación permite la creación de una escaleta de gráficos asociada a la escaleta de emisión del sistema de automatización y controlada por la misma.

Mediante la creación de unas reglas determinadas para la creación y emisión de los contenidos gráficos, y pudiendo tomar los contenidos desde una base de datos externa o de los propios campos de la escaleta de emisión, Pixel Promo garantiza la automatización de todo el proceso bajo la gestión global del sistema de automatización de la emisión.
