Radio-Television Slovenia (RTV), the Slovenian public broadcaster, has just installed a new intercom infrastructure Riedel at its production center in Koper. Riedel has installed an Artist digital matrix as well as an Acrobat wireless digital intercom system.
The Artist 64 matrix thus becomes the heart of the installation, while Acrobat has provided RTV with a very flexible wireless intercom system. Eight Acrobat WB-2 beltpacks combined with the CC-8 base station and two CA-6 antennas cover Koper's studio. Acrobat combines the mobility of radio transmitters with full duplex communication and perfect integration with the intercom matrix system.
Valter Podgornik, technical manager at RTV, has noted that "Artist is a very scalable platform. You can start with a small 8x8 matrix and then expand it up to 1024x1024 non-blocking ports, ensuring investment for future developments. The mix of 2100 and 5100 series panels allows us to meet our budget expectations without losing any of the features and benefits that Ridel is known for. The ease of use of the system and “The intuitive drag-and-drop programming is second to none.”
